Music Director, Ricky Sexton

Ricky Sexton has faithfully served Unity Baptist Church as music leader for many years. He works closely with the pastor and choir director to select music for worship that allows the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of our congregation.  Recently retired, Ricky enjoys spending time with his wife Beth, their children and five grandsons.

Children's Director, Joan Watkins

Joan Watkins holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  She has served as a children's minister for multiple churches from Kentucky and Tennessee to Alabama. Joan is from Winfield, AL where she and most of her family has served as faithful members of Winfield First Baptist Church for many years.  Joan has faithfully answered the Lord's call on her life to serve and is now pouring her love of Jesus into the lives of our children at Unity Baptist Church.  In her time as Children's Director here she has been instrumental in developing child safety guidelines and new ministries like K.U.D.O.s - Kid's of Unity Day Outs
